When: Sunday 30 November 2.30 - 4.00 pm.  

Where:  University of Tasmania Multifaith Centre, 
TUU Building, Churchill Ave, Sandy Bay, Hobart

As part of Human Rights Week, this event will feature keynote speaker Fr Shammi Perera. Originally from Sri Lanka Fr. Shammi Perera is now the chaplain with responsibility for the pastoral care of migrants and refugees, based at St Mary's Cathedral, Hobart.

Fr Shammi Perera will speak about the treatment of strangers - including immigrants, asylum seekers and refugees, in faith traditions.  Time will also be spent sharing readings, prayers and meditations, for those forced to take refuge, including those who create and exacerbate conditions that force others to take refuge.
